Frank delivering a keynote to a school staff audience
The Brief

What this is

Talks and workshops for young people, from Year 9 to university, and for the staff who carry them. The subject is the three things grades alone do not give: resilience, identity, and direction.

Almost one in eight young people in the UK is not in education, employment, or training, and the first step into work has narrowed. Most of them do not need another lecture. They need someone who has been where they are, and who can say the hard thing in a way they will actually take in.

That is the gap this work fills.

Formats

How it works

Assembly

Assembly or Keynote

A single session for a year group or the whole school. Frank opens with his own story. Students leave with one thing to act on the next day.

Duration:45 to 60 minutes
Audience:Students, one year group or whole school

Workshop

Workshop

Smaller and more hands-on. Students work through the ideas, talk honestly in small groups, and each leaves with a step they have written for themselves.

Duration:90 minutes to half a day
Audience:Students, smaller groups

Series

Term Series

A talk a term across the year, mapped to where students are. A relationship, not a one-off.

Duration:Three sessions across the year
Audience:A year group, across the year

Staff

Staff INSET Keynote

A session that gives teaching and support staff room to say what is hard about the job, and to come back to why they chose it.

Duration:60 to 90 minutes
Audience:Teaching and support staff

A few of the talks

Every session sits on a simple spine that follows the school year: Set the Tone, Dig In, then What's Next.

Set the Tone

How You Start Matters

Setting the tone for the year with a focus on grit, standards, and ownership.

Dig In

When Motivation Runs Out

Building the habits that keep students going on the days they do not feel like it.

What's Next

The First Rung

Showing leavers how to get a foot on a career ladder that has become harder to reach.

Three of many. The full menu runs from Year 9 to university, for students and for staff, and is in the brochure.

“Frank gives you the tools to reflect, and then action what you need to do to bring the joy back into your day.”
